Take Heart - We're Here
The statistics on heart disease can be daunting - 3 in 4 men AND women over age 60 suffer from heart disease. This silent threat is the leading cause of death for American men, and it is five times deadlier for women than breast cancer. For those who are a bit younger, don't live by the motto "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." It's easy to shrug off heart health when you're young and feeling well, but heart disease can strike at any age, without symptoms. You're never too young to start taking care of your heart!
Take steps to protect yourself - start by partnering with the heart experts right here in your community at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals.
Together, we can protect your heart.
We want you to be well, so St. Rose offers a variety of heart-health screenings, including monthly cholesterol screenings, to help you assess your risk. We also offer classes on heart-healthy living and nutrition consultations with our registered dietitians. And if you've already been diagnosed with heart disease or a related condition, we offer special programs to help you such as our Healthy Living: Up2Me program from Stanford University - at no cost.
Advanced heart care right in your community.
Prevention and management are key, but should you need additional heart care, the three St. Rose Dominican Hospitals provide a full range of leading-edge diagnostics and treatments, including minimally invasive options that offer less pain, shorter recovery times and improved outcomes. In addition to the most advanced care, you can count on your care team to keep you comfortable and listen to your questions and concerns throughout your treatment and healing — because every patient matters. This compassionately oriented care is integral in helping you overcome heart issues and return to enjoying life.
