St. Rose is Home to Two da Vinci® Si Surgical Systems
The da Vinci® Surgical System, used by surgeons worldwide, is also used regularly at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures. The Siena Campus and the San Martín Campus both have the da Vinci® Si System, which continues to redefine - and improve - the way we perform surgery.
The first generation da Vinci allowed surgeons to achieve excellent results when operating on "fixed anatomy," such as the gallbladder, uterus or prostate. With the new, enhanced features of the da Vinci Si, we have the surgical precision to operate on organs such as the colon and rectum - organs that don't "sit still."
The da Vinci® Si Surgical System provides surgeons an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy, putting a surgeon’s hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform. The da Vinci® Si System enables surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision.
If you or a loved one has a condition that requires surgery, you owe it to yourself to learn about all of your medical options, including the most effective, least invasive surgical treatments available in southern Nevada. St. Rose surgeons now perform delicate surgeries including
urologic
(prostatectomies),
gynecological
(hysterectomies, endometriosis),
gallbladder, colon, rectal
and
pediatric
with smaller, more precise incisions.
The benefits of this advanced robotic-assisted technology include
- significantly less pain,
- less scarring,
- less blood loss,
- shorter recovery times,
- faster returns to normal, daily activities, and
- better clinical outcomes (in many cases).
