St. Rose Offers a Full Range of Surgical Procedures
St. Rose Dominican Hospitals' three campuses have become the premier surgical facilities in southern Nevada. Some of the state's most experienced surgeons use St. Rose's highly advanced technology to perform thousands of surgical procedures annually in the following areas:

The Rose de Lima Campus has six operating rooms (one specifically for urology procedures) utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. Bariatric weight loss surgical procedures are also done at the Rose de Lima Campus.
The Siena Campus has eight operating rooms, and two more are currently under construction. These rooms are specially designed for St. Rose's Open Heart Surgery program and are equipped for laparoscopic procedures. The Siena Campus also provides multiple surgical care procedures for pediatrics patients.
St. Rose began offering
da Vinci® Surgical System
services at its Siena Campus in late 2007. This state-of-the-art robotic technology allows surgeons’ hands to produce scaled movements through small surgical openings. The da Vinci is completely controlled by – and is an extension of – the surgeon. The da Vinci system is used to perform delicate surgeries such as prostatectomies, hysterectomies and pediatric procedures. Benefits of its small, precise incisions include less pain, less scarring, quicker recovery times, and in many cases, better clinical outcomes.
St. Rose offers a full range of laparoscopic procedures which utilize a lens instrument inserted through a small incision to assist in the following surgical procedures:
- Cholecystectomy (gallbladder operation)
- Laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomies
- Special Procedure Laboratory
In addition to its operative and post-operative surgical areas, St. Rose offers a Special Procedure Laboratory where a variety of endoscopic (flexible scope) diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed, including:
- Colonoscopy (examination of the colon)
- Gastroscopy (examination of the stomach)
- Bronchoscopy (examination of the lungs)

PillCam Capsule Endoscopy (examination of the small bowel).
Same Day Surgery
Same day surgery is for patients who do not require overnight postoperative care. This allows you to recover in the comfort of your own home since a hospital stay is not required.
