Do you have a St. Rose baby?
When you expect the very best in care, Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican is sure to deliver. The miracle of life starts right here - at our Siena and San Martín Campuses - where we provide family-centered maternal care focused on the well-being of both mom and baby.
The Maternal Child Center at the San Martin Campus is the FIRST in southern Nevada to earn the prestigious Baby-Friendly USA designation. The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative is a global program launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nation's Children's Fund (UNICEF) to encourage and recognize hospitals that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding.
Our comfortable birthing suites
are enhanced by our family-centered philosophy. We value the family as a unit and want to facilitate your bonding during this time - whether it is new fathers spending the night on the pullout beds in the patient rooms or siblings and/or fathers being present during the birth experience.
Mothers also have choices in how they deliver ... they can deliver in an unconventional position, walk or sit during labor or opt out of intravenous lines during the birth process.
What do real moms say about giving birth at St. Rose?
|"I don't think I could have given birth at a better hospital. ... The nurses and anesthesiologist were very professional throughout the procedure ... and then the red carpet was rolled out. I am a new and fairly young mother ... the nurse stayed with me and talked me through the fear I was having ... The rooms are very private and you get your own space; no sharing at all. You have your own bathroom and couch for visitors and the FLAT SCREEN TV DOUBLES AS A COMPUTER! ..." Dominique, Henderson
|"Best place to have a baby! Came back for #2 and the nurses/staff were excellent as usual." -- Julius T., Las Vegas
|"I had the pleasure of giving birth to my bundle of joy back in June and it's just amazing! ... I was officially checked in to the biggest maternity room I have ever seen. I was so comfortable there and the nurses were just too nice! ... After my baby boy was born, he was never taken from the room away from me. Nurses came in to shower him in front of us and every time they needed to check on him, he was never taken away. The food by the way is delicious. Overall this was a great, clean, friendly hospital." -- Stephanie U, Las Vegas
