Certain processes help hospitals achieve better outcomes for heart attack and surgery patients. To be effective, these processes should occur as consistently as possible. St. Rose participates in a nationwide effort to track progress on the timely administration of these procedures. Below is a chart showing our results and how we measure against other hospitals in the state and the nation. This information was compiled from Medicare’s (CMS) website http://www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov/.
In addition, HealthInsight, an independent, non-profit organization contracted by CMS to provide regional quality oversight, used these same CMS measures to compare and rank hospitals across the nation. In the most recent analysis, all three of the St. Rose hospitals were ranked among the top in the nation.
