CMN/IHOP National Pancake Day

(February 22, 2010, Henderson, NV) – Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization whose local proceeds benefit St. Rose Dominican Hospitals’ pediatric departments, and IHOP, one of America’s favorite restaurants, are celebrating their fifth annual National Pancake Day on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.

Local IHOPs are inviting guests to enjoy a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In return, guests are encouraged to donate what they would have paid for the free pancakes – or more – to Children’s Miracle Network. Miracle Balloons are also being sold for $1 or $5 each and displayed at participating IHOP restaurants from February 1-23, 2010, giving guests another way to show their support of Children’s Miracle Network.

“In 2009, National Pancake Day raised nearly $1.5 million and more than 2.5 million pancakes were given away to IHOP guests,” said Rod Davis, president of St. Rose Dominican Hospitals. “More than 1,400 IHOP restaurants throughout the United States are participating in this free pancake fundraiser this year with a goal of raising $1.75 million. This year’s local goal is to raise $25,000.”
