Rose de Lima Campus President Resigns

(April 4, 2011, Henderson, Nev.) – Rod A. Davis, President/CEO of St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, announced today that Rose de Lima Campus President/CEO, Val Baciarelli, has resigned. Baciarelli has accepted a position with the CHRISTUS San Antonio Health System as a Regional Chief Operating Officer. Baciarelli’s last day at St. Rose will be April 29, 2011.

Baciarelli has been a valued member of the St. Rose family for more than 11 years. Prior to joining St. Rose, Baciarelli served CHW as the Vice President of Operations for the Southern California Region. He joined St. Rose as the market Chief Operating Officer in 2000, just prior to the opening of the Siena Campus. In this role, he made significant operational improvements to ensure organizational effectiveness critical to the eventual opening of the third St. Rose hospital – the San Martín Campus.

In 2003, Baciarelli was named President of the Rose de Lima Campus. Since then, his focus on customer service and quality has resulted in numerous awards for the campus, including being recognized as the No. 1 hospital in Nevada for the last four years based on Medicare quality measures and a No. 1 ranking in Nevada by HealthInsight for outstanding performance in the areas of leadership commitment, stable nursing environment and embedding appropriate practice.
