(April 15, 2011, Henderson, Nev.) – Rod A. Davis, President/CEO of St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, announced today that Allan M. Spooner has been appointed to the position of Interim President/CEO of the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals-Rose de Lima Campus.
Spooner has served as the Chief Strategy Officer for the southern Nevada market for the past four years. In this role, he has been intimately involved in every major strategic and tactical decision including financial turnarounds, revenue enhancement, expansion of key service lines, joint venture development and clinical integration activities. Furthermore, Spooner has been closely involved in developing and supporting strategies created to continue operational improvements at the Rose de Lima Campus; and therefore, he possesses excellent foundational knowledge and experience to assume this interim role.
Prior to joining St. Rose, Spooner was a vice president for Ascension Health where he led a $1.2 billion regional health system effort to realign assets to maximize profitability. He also served in a vice president position at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Spooner’s past experience includes tenure at Tenet Health System and a consulting role at KPMG Peat Marwick. He received his MBA in Finance and Policy Studies at the University of Chicago and his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.
