(Henderson, Nev.; September 6, 2012) — St. Rose Dominican Hospitals-Siena Campus has been presented with the 2012 HealthInsight Quality Award for achieving a high level of performance on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid’s (CMS) publicly reported quality data and promoting transparency in its healthcare system.
Beginning in 2011, the CMS Quality Measures national ranking and the Patient Perception of Care (HCAHPS) rankings were combined to form a single national ranking. Clinical measures are weighted 70 percent and HCAHPS weighted 30 percent of the overall combined ranking. To receive a 2012 HealthInsight Quality Award, the Siena Campus had to rank at or above the 75th percentile in the combined national ranking based on data posted on www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov that reflect the period of October 1, 2010–September 30, 2011.
