Siena Campus Offers First Level III NICU in Southern Valley
(HENDERSON, NV, February 1, 2008) - St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - Siena Campus now offers the highest level of neonatal treatment available in its new Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The modern, comfortable 15-bed Level III NICU - the first in the southern part of the Las Vegas valley - features the most advanced technology for monitoring sick and/or premature newborns while our caring, compassionate staff provides a full range of neonatal treatment for medically fragile infants, including:
- 24-hour, on-site board-certified neonatal surgeons and neonatal specialists;
- specially-trained and certified neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists;
- treatment for high-risk babies at any gestational age;
- specialized neonatal transport team; and
- adaptable, self-contained Giraffe omni-beds (versatile infant beds that provide emergency access and that convert to a protective, quiet environment which allows appropriate growth and development of the newborn).

St. Rose's other two campuses, Rose de Lima and San Martín were recently converted to Level II NICUs which means they can provide advanced care for premature and ill infants born at 32 weeks or above. The Rose de Lima Campus houses a 7-bed Level II NICU and 3-bed Level I Well Baby Nursery while the San Martín Campus houses a 6-bed Level II NICU and a 4-bed Level I nursery.
