St. Rose and Dr. Sunil Kalla Host Heart Health Session
(January 29, 2008, HENDERSON, NV) - Heart disease is the No. 1 killer in America according to the American Heart Association, so St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - San Martín Campus and cardiologist, Dr. Sunil Kalla, are offering a free heart health program Tuesday, February 26, from 8 a.m.-noon, to present information and ideas on how to keep your heart in good condition.
"The information being presented in this session is appropriate for both men and women," said Dr. Kalla. "We will talk about the warning signs, symptoms and, most importantly, preventative measures for this life-threatening condition."
The morning’s activities will include a variety of screenings, including cholesterol, blood pressure and body fat; a heart healthy breakfast; a lecture by Dr. Kalla; relaxing breakout sessions of Tai Chi, meditation or a labyrinth walk; a nutrition lab and a healthy snack.
