St. Rose Offers Inpatient Oncology Services
St. Rose's inpatient oncology department at the Siena Campus consists of 10 private rooms, each with a couch that converts to a bed for a loved one. In addition to an Oncology Certified Nurse, there are approximately 20 chemotherapy certified nurses on staff.
The hospital provides adult patients the following services:
- Inpatient Chemotherapy
- Inpatient Radiation Therapy
- Educational Programs
- Concentrated Pain Management Program
- Temporary Hospice Care
- Spiritual Care
Mr. Thomas A. Plein, a generous community member, donated $115,000 to pay for educational classes for the oncology nurses. The donation was also used to purchase DVD players for each patient room and a DVD library for patients to check out movies.
