St. Rose is First in Las Vegas Valley to Use New Technology
Following St. Rose's tradition of providing the latest in technology and quality care, the hospital began a neurosurgy program in 2004. A team of world-class neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists and support staff have been assembled to treat the brain and spine, using the most advanced equipment available.
Some of the most common reasons for neurosurgery are tumors in the brain or spine, scoliosis and intracranial bleeds.
Most recently, St. Rose added pediatric cases to the list of procedures available. These cases are performed by a pediatric neurosurgeon specially trained to work with children.
The neurosurgery department at St. Rose recently became the only hospital in southern Nevada to use VectorVision by BrainLAB, a highly advanced computer-guided imaging system that enables neurosurgeons to access anywhere in the brain or spine with extreme accuracy.
